Trump and the Democrats have reached a deal to end the government shutdown and reopen the government, but only for 3 weeks!
During a press conference, Trump ended the shutdown that had dragged on for 35 days.
The deal does not include funding for the wall. The temporary end to the shutdown comes after thousands of federal workers missed another paycheck during the longest government shutdown in history.
The FAA has temporarily halted flights at LaGuardia Airport in New York City due to staffing shortages as a result of the shutdown.
Federal workers will receive back pay for their work during the shutdown.
