Here's Where You Can Watch 4th of July Fireworks in Southern California

While many of the health restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic have been eased around Southern California, most large events have been canceled to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Unfortunately, that includes a lot of our favorite summer activities - including the many fireworks shows hosted across the Southland every year. For example, the two most popular fireworks celebrations around Southern California have decided to go virtual, or been canceled altogether.

Going Virtual

Grand Park + The Music Center’s 4th of July Virtual Block Party 2020 - Grand Park Will Be Closed to Public Gatherings and Picnics On July 4th

2020 4th of July Celebration : Monrovia - July 4 at 5:00 p.m.

4th of July Digital Celebration Finale: Laguna Niguel - July 4 at 9 p.m.

4th of July Fireworks: MCCS 29 Palms - July 4 at 9 p.m.

July 4th Virtual Fireworks 2020: City of Temecula - July 4 at 9 p.m.

Fireworks Shows Still Scheduled (This is subject to change)

Big Bear's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

The mountain community has given the go-ahead for its annual fireworks show to happen on July 4th. The fireworks show will begin at around 8:45 p.m. and they are viewable throughout the valley. No personal fireworks are allowed on the mountain at any time.

Big Bear's fireworks event was postponed on Wednesday and will take place at a later date.

City of Rancho Cucamonga

While the city's main fireworks show has been canceled amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the city is offering a free Community Fireworks Show at Chaffey College beginning at 9 p.m.. However, no spectators will be allowed on campus to view the fireworks.

City of Mennifee

The City of Mennifee is one of the few communities around the Southland to offer a full-fledged fireworks show. The fun begins at 6 p.m. at Mt. San Jacinto College when lots open for parking (which is free). The fireworks show will take place at 9 p.m.

City of San Juan Capistrano

Residents of San Juan Capistrano can watch the show from their vehicles at the Sports Park (25925 Camino Del Avion, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675). You'll need to register to reserve a space, which you can find here.

Los Alamitos' Drive-Up 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

You'll have to stay in your vehicle to watch the show, but everyone is welcome. Gates open at 7:15 p.m. at Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base: 11206 Lexington Dr, Los Alamitos, CA 90720

San Bernardino - Fourth of July Drive-In Fireworks Extravaganza

The show begins at 9 p.m. at the San Manuel Stadium (280 South E Street, San Bernardino, CA 92401). General admission is $40 per vehicle and you can make reservations here.

City of Victorville's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

While the show is happening at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds, people will not be allowed to view the show from the venue. Officials say the fairgrounds will be gated and locked to prevent onsite viewing and are encouraging residents to watch the show from their homes.

Palisades Rocks the Fourth
