R. Kelly’s Brothers Break Their Silence in New Docuseries

We now know more information about Lifetime's three-part docuseries, Surviving R.Kelly.

In the docuseries 8 women allege abuse at the hands of R&B singer R.Kelly.

R.Kelly's two brothers, Bruce and Carey go on to describe their brother as a mild mannered and timid person when they were growing up.

They also reveal that R.Kelly was bullied growing up for not being able to read and write.

In a 2016 interview with GQ magazine, R.Kelly said that he had been sexually abused by a relative starting from the age of 7 or 8 until he was about  14 or 15.

His brother Carey, believes the abuse happened because it happened to him as well.

During his interview, Bruce said R. Kelly liked younger women. "You have people who have fantasies about different things. I like older women but that's just a preference. Everyone has preferences. So what is the big deal? What is the big issue with my brother?"

Surviving R. Kelly airs on Lifetime at 9 p.m. ET from Thursday, Jan. 3 to Saturday, Jan. 5.
