Just last week it was announced that Jay Ellis' character, Lawrence, wouldn't be making a come back for season three of Issa Rae's HBO sitcom Insecure.
Now it looks like fans have started a petition online to bring back his character next month when the show returns! A paid Facebook post and a website titled "Where's Lawrence?" has been created and of course Issa had a few words to say about it.
Issa Rae commented on the petition by tweeting, "Wow. A sponsored post though? Like...money was spent?"
Rae confirmed that Ellis wouldn't be returning to the show after their characters had a post-breakup goodbye. Rae continued to say that that goodbye, was final.
"We want to stay as true to life as possible. They had a great conversation at the end of season two and it was just about like, hey, she’s moving on Daniel, sometimes we have those conversations." You never see the exes again. And it’s okay! You gotta explore life without Lawrence."
