The #MuteRKelly crusade got a strong ally on Monday when the Women of Color in the #TimesUp movement pushed for an investigation into Kelly's alleged activity over the years.
According to The Daily Mail, R. Kelly's management has hit back calling this a "public lynching."
The management statement said, "We fully support the rights of women to be empowered and make their own choices. Since America was born, black men and women have been lynched for having sex or being accused of it."
The statement continued, "We will vigorously resist this attempted public lynching of a black man who has made extraordinary contributions to our culture."
