OKC Thunder player Russell Westbrook was awarded the NBA Award for Most Valuable Player, as well as the awards for All-NBA Team, Best Style Fan Award, and Game Winner of the Year Fan Award.
During Westbrook's acceptance speech, the athlete dedicated a teary-eyed, heartfelt portion to his wife and mother of his newborn son, Nina.
"And lastly, my beautiful wife," Westbrook began. "From day 1... meeting you, 2007, back at UCLA, I knew you was special. You, um... make me go. You hold me down, you keep me in check. You make sure I'm on the right track and I'm so, so appreciative of you. You sacrifice so, so much for me. Every single day. And I can't thank you enough."
