Over the years, we have heard millions of studies and fads about fitness, health and weight loss. There are just so many! But this one has a lot of encouragement! This new study from Iowa State University found that weight training just one hour a day can significantly improve your heart health and lower your risk of a heart attack.
"According to the researchers, the benefits of strength training are independent of running, walking, or other aerobic activity. This means that weight training alone can reduce the risk of a major cardiovascular event, with or without meeting the recommended guidelines for aerobic physical activity."
This is probably a great thing to add into your routine if you aren't already doing it so be right back as I get my workout gear and head to the gym! Also, this is something you gotta do in your workouts because it's not a one and done thing! It will take time to see the benefits and I bet you will be glad to see that even if you hate working out!
