Cardi B Shuts Down Rumors Of Copying Nicki Minaj's Music Video

Cardi B took to Instagram on Wednesday night (March 30) to defend herself against people who say she copied Nicki Minaj’s video schedule. 

Nicki was in New York to shoot “We Go Up” featuring Fivio Foreign and on the same day, Cardi shot a video with Kay Flock. 

Fans accused Cardi of copying Nicki’s visual aesthetic but Cardi clapped back writing on social media, “Y’all be trynna play wit my body like I won’t come wit receipts! [sic] My bad I had to rehearse for a movie for 2 months, shoot Facebook, go to Europe and close deals MY BAD @dougieb___ and cardi was in LA workin and we finally in NY our home to shoot this ! Don’t play wit me I Move on my timing and I BEEN DONE THIS… talk all y’all s### make sure y’all tune in to TOUCH THE GROWN!!! And FREE F##### KAY FLOCK!!”

Cardi also went through text messages while doing a live video to show fans and trolls that she had the video on her schedule and didn’t intentionally schedule her video on the same day as Nicki’s.
