Barack & Michelle Obama Announce New Animated Netflix Series: We The People

There's a new animated series coming to Netflix!

Barack and Michelle Obama just announced their new Netflix animated series that will educate children on the United States government.

Titled We The People, the Obamas will be the executive producers the animated series.

According to Netflix, the series is described as “an exuberant call to action for everyone to rethink civics as a living, breathing thing and to reframe their understanding of what government and citizenship mean in a modern world.”

The animated series will also feature original musical pieces from H.E.R., Janelle Monae, Andra Day, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Los Angeles poet Amanda Gorman, who made headlines during this year's presidential inauguration as the youngest poet to ever perform a poem. .

We The People is set to hit Netflix on July 4th.
