According to health experts going to the grocery store isn't so much about wiping down your cart and everything you tough, it's about how much time you spend at the store.

Let me tell you, one of my favorite things to do was go down every single aisle and let the store tell me whatI wanted. However since the pandemic I haven't been in a grocery store since March. Thank you instacart! (I have to be extra careful since I'm pregnant)

So what's a safe amount of time to spend at the grocery store? Linsey Marr PhD says about "30 minutes"

Which doesn't seem like a long time, especially when you have to consider checking out. So here are some ideas on how to keep your grocery shopping quick.

Make a list and stick to it. Think of it like a game show, get everything you need in less than 30 minutes.

Avoid peak hours at the store. This might be tough if you have a work schedule, but if you can try and go when most people aren't there.

Wear a mask. This is a no brainer - you should always be wearing a mask when you're out in public and especially inside a store.

Do self check out. This limits your contact with a cashier and you can wipe down the area before you start.
