Trays of Mail, Including Absentee Ballots, Found in a Ditch in Wisconsin!

Protest Held Outside Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's DC Home

This makes me very nervous to vote by mail! What if my ballot doesn't make it?!? But at the same time, I'd really prefer to not vote in person because I'm trying to stay safe! UGH!!!

So U.S. Postal Service Officials have launched an investigation after several hundred pieces of mail -- which included a number of absentee ballots -- were found discarded in a ditch.

The mail, which was found Wednesday in Fox Valley, Wisconsin, was divided among three trays that are used by the post office to organize letters, according to the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office. The mail was immediately handed over to Postal Service officials, the sheriff's office reports.

It's unclear whether the mail had been stolen from the USPS or a deliverer is suspected of ditching it.
