Naomi Osaka Won't Play In Tournament To Protest Police Brutality

Naomi Osaka says she won't be playing at the Western & Southern Open's semifinals match on Thursday in protest of the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old Black man, was shot seven times by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Sunday. (Read more here.)

She tweeted in a statement that "watching the continued genocide of Black people at the hand of the police is honestly making me sick to my stomach."
