This is going to be a damper on a lot of people that are still trying to throw big parties while we're in the middle of a pandemic!
Especially in LA we've heard of a lot of HUGE parties going down at homes that they don't own! Well now Airbnb is cracking down on people renting homes with the intent of throwing a party.
New rules cap occupancies at any Airbnb worldwide to 16 people.
In a statement, the company said, "This party ban applies to all future bookings on Airbnb and it will remain in effect indefinitely until further notice."
Airbnb and other rental hosts have come under fire with stories about large gatherings being held at their homes in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Strangers gathering in a house without masks and not socially distanced is a potential breeding ground for spreading coronavirus.
I think this is a great idea!!!
