21 Arrested In California For $250,000 Unemployment Scam

This is California's first big unemployment fraud case during the coronavirus pandemic.

Twenty-one people from Northern California were part of a fraud ring that allegedly operated out of the San Mateo County jail. They stole the money by submitting bogus claims on behalf of jail inmates. Authorities first learned about this when they overheard inmates talking about the allegations.
