Drake Helps Africa's Masaka Kids Go Viral for 'Toosie Slide' Challenge

Drake’s 'Toosie Slide' has inspired many to join the challenge and post their best Toosie Slide dance videos all over social media. The best so far has to go to Africa’s Masaka Kids. Doing the Toosie Slide Challenge not only changed their lives, it made them an Internet sensation. The Ugandan orphans posted their version of the popular challenge on Friday.

Drake reached out to the group for permission to post to his IG story, which he did on Saturday. (April 18) Suuna Hassan, founder of the Masaka Kids, said the kids wanted to perform the dance and post it to social media in hope that Drake would notice and when he did, the kids were, “excited and overjoyed,” said Hassan.

Since Drake’s post of the viral video, the Masaka Kids have received over 120,000 new Instagram followers as well as donations pouring in for the group.
