For those who are huge fans of wrestling you know that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson followed into his Father's footsteps and went into Wrestling! Dwayne's Father was Rocky Johnson, he was the first black Georgia Heavyweight Champion. He won the World Tag Team Championship, along with his partner Tony Atlas, in 1983 to become the first black champions in WWE history.
Obviously we know that The Rock had a HUGE wrestling career and continues to be involved in the sport. Well now it's been announced that his oldest Daughter Simone will be following her Father and Grandfather into the Family business!
The WWE also made the announcement!
I have no idea how long her training will be or if she'll make it through, but if you've ever seen "Fighting with my Family" - that training is tough!! Good luck to her, can't wait to see her in the ring one day!!!
This is another example of Women in Sports and even when great athletes only have girls as kids, they can still carry on their legacy! I know wrestling isn't exactly like other sports but you have to be extremely athletic to be a wrestler!
