Everyone at SnapChat right now is saying "WE KNEW IT!!!" - But c'mon we all knew it but now Instagram is confirming that they stole their "Stories" idea from SnapChat!
The co-founders of Instagram Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger were at SXSW and were speaking on a panel and they talked about what led them to add "Instagram Stories"
At first they talked about wanting to increase authenticity etc. But then Kevin said...
"For a long time, people’s profiles were filled with Snapchat links," - "It was clear people were trying to bridge the two products. So we gave them what they wanted."
Now granted he didn't say they actually "stole" the idea but basically they did! However some would say "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!"
