While many hip-hop artists decided to skip the Grammy awards, Drake wasn't on that wave and was in attendance to accept his award and took the time to speak on the Grammys alleged race issues.
"We play in an opinion based sport, not a factual-based sport," Drake began as he accepted his award for Best Rap Song. "You've already won if you have people who are singing your songs word for word if you're a hero in your hometown."
Drake went on to say that if you're an artist and "have people with regular jobs coming out in the rain or in the snow to see your shows you already won."
Drake's message, while powerful, left many scratching their head and wondering why he was cut short during his speech.
