Phone records from the Cobb County DA Office reveal that Yung Thug called Jimmy “Peewee Roscoe” Winfrey 8 times just before Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot at. The DA’s office is considering pressing charges against Yung Thug and Birdman after a phone call was leaked, linking them to the shooting.
During the call Birdman can be heard telling Winfrey, “It’s time for you to come and get this money, man. You done did everything you could do, boss. It’s an eye opener, bruh. Strictly business, man.”
Winfrey was Yung Thug’s tour manager at the time of the shooting. Winfrey plead guilty to attempted murder and weapons charges, but the charges were overturned by the Georgia supreme court. Winfrey is currently in jail awaiting a new trial or a new deal.
Meanwhile, the Cobb County DA office will decide if charges will be pressed on Birdman and Yung Thug in the coming weeks. The leaked phone call was a part of the evidence submitted in the tour bus driver’s pain and suffering case.
