A "well-placed source" told Rolling Stone that the rapper feels "misled" by his trial lawyer George Mgdesyan, who discouraged him from testifying.
If Tory testified, prosecutors were ready to introduce impeachment evidence, including his September 2022 assault of August Alsina and his "CAP" music video in which he played a butcher slicing off a horse leg in a reference to Megan.
He was convicted on all three counts, including felony assault and guns, and faces up to 22 years and eight months in jail and deportation to Canada. David Kenner, Tory Lanez's new lawyer, defended Snoop Dogg in his 1996 murder trial and was enthusiastic about reversing his client's convictions.
