Kendrick Lamar's song "Alright" is arguably one of the best on his "To Pimp A Butterfly" album.
But get this, it almost wasn't on the project. A producer named Sounwave, who worked on the album, told the story about how it finally made it in a recent interview. He said, "It was super amazing, super fitting, sonically it was not, like no matter what we did, it just could not fit with the rest of the album. But we loved that record so much that I said, 'Okay, I'm not letting this record die.'" He says they tweaked it a little and made it what it is today. He said, "I literally have to go back in, last second of the album, like literally at the crunch time, I think we had one more day, and added drums to it."
