For the first time ever Will Smith won a Golden Globe Award for his performance in "King Richard." This was his fourth time being nominated.

Unfortunately this year the Golden Globes were dropped by NBC and they didn't even have an award show because there was an industry-wide boycott of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association because it was revealed that there wasn't a single Black member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s group of Golden Globe voters. So until the HFP fixes this Hollywood doesn't want anything to do with them.

Hopefully this changes very soon because the Golden Globes was one of my favorite award shows because it was so much fun!

But either way, congratulations to Will Smith for his win and hopefully he gets nominated for an Oscar! If you have not seen "King Richard" yet, you for sure need to watch it!
