Mac Miller's 'Faces' Makes Record-Breaking Vinyl Debut

Mac Miller’s release of his 2014 mixtape Faces has made a record-breaking vinyl debut.

Released on October 15th, Faces hit number one on the vinyl albums chart, selling 34,000 copies and giving the chart its largest sales week for a rap/R&B album since 1991. 

“Faces” has now beat Mac Miller’s “Circles” vinyl which sold 16,000 copies in June 2020. 

The largest sales week for an R&B/hip-hop set on vinyl since 1991was Prince’s Welcome 2 America album which sold 22,000 on August 14th, 2021.
