A full autopsy report on the death of Gabby Petito revealed that the 22-year-old died of strangulation.

On Tuesday, Teton County, Wyoming coroner Dr. Brent Blue told reporters that Petito's death was a homicide and that the manner of death was strangulation.

Blue also mentioned that investigators collected DNA samples from Petito's body, and that her remains were left outside for "3-4 weeks" before they were found. Further autopsy details were not revealed.

Petito's death has become a national obsession since she disappeared while on a cross-country trip with boyfriend Brian Laundrie. She was last seen August 25th and her body was found Sept. 19th at Grand Teton National Park.

The FBI continues to search for Laundrie, who returned to his parents' Florida home on Sept. 1st but hasn't been seen for about a month. Laundrie is considered a person of interest in Petito's death.
