Ashanti will star in and produce a romantic comedy movie called, The Plus One.
According to Deadline, the "Foolish" singer will play a bride named Lizzie, who asks her "Male of Honor" Marshall to refrain from inviting his ex Marie to her destination wedding. However, Marshall decides to bring Marie, where she attempts to ruin Lizzie’s destination wedding.
Additional cast members have yet to be revealed.
Ashanti, who has been in movies like, Coach Carter, The Muppets Wizard of OZ, John Tucker Must Die and Resident Evil: Extinction will be receiving a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame in 2022.
