LAUSD schools started this week and by next week more students will be headed back to the classrooms! As you know right now you have to be 12 years and older to get the vaccine. Well the Culver City School District announced that they will be the first school district in California to mandate the vaccine for their students 12 years and older!

ABC 7 reports

Culver City is taking health requirements a step further, requiring proof of vaccination for all students ages 12 and older by Nov. 19. The deadline has been set for three months from now in order to "give everyone the opportunity to make their vaccine plans," the district said in a statement, adding, "We will begin gathering vaccine status data immediately."

If you remember Governor Gavin Newsom announced that California will be the first state to require all teachers and school staff to get vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID-19 testing. This is also for public and private schools!
