The surge of the Delta variant of COVID-19 has caused Starbucks and McDonald's to pivot on their mask policy.
Starbucks now "strongly recommends" that customers wear masks when stopping in for a visit. McDonald's is again making masks mandatory whether vaccinated or not.
Many believe that the way the chains are beginning to change policies could be a precursor for the rest of the country.
