In a world where inclusion is becoming a priority, technology is making sure to lead the way.

A draft list of new emojis released by the Unicode Consortium, designed by Emojipedia and according to CNN, the draft list of new emojis included "gender-neutral options such as a "pregnant person" and "person in crown" among its shortlist.”

Other 14.0 emojis include a melting face, saluting face, a face holding back tears, a disco ball and a low battery symbol. However, the list is subject to change prior to final approval.

However, while these are just potential emojis, an approval of the final version of the emojis will take place in September as part of Emoji 14.0. Then they will go live in late 2021 and into the first half of 2022.

In the meantime, let us know what you think in the comments below.
