Teen Who Recorded George Floyd's Death Receives Honorary Pulitzer Prize

Not all heroes wear capes!

According to the Washington Post, the teenager who filmed the murder of George Floyd by a white police officer was given a awarded a special award by the Pulitzer Prize board.

On Friday, June 11th, Darnella Frazier, who is now 18-years-old was given the honorary award for her courage, the Pulitzer committee said.

The young girl recorded the over 8-minute interaction with former Minneapolis Police Officers leading up to the death of George Floyd. Darnella also testified during the Derek Chauvintrial this past March.
