'Tarzan' Actor, Joe Lara, Among 7 Presumed Dead In Tennesse Plane Crash

Joe Lara is among seven passengers believed to killed when a light aircraft took off and crashed into Percy Priest Lake in Tennessee. 

Joe Lara, 58, star of the 1996 television series 'Tarzan: The Epic Adventures,' was on board along with his wife, Gwen Shamblin, 66, who founded the Remnant Fellowship Church and created the Weigh Down Workshop, a popular 90s weight loss program. 

Lara starred in the 1989 CBS movie "Tarzan in Manhattan" as well as SunsetHeatGunsmokeTheLastApacheAmericanCyborgSteelWarriorBaywatch, and CBS’ The Magnificent Seven

Lara and Shamblin married in 1998 and leave behind three children. 

All seven passengers were found dead. 

Reports say the plane dropped out of the sky after being in the air for 90 seconds.
