The Weeknd Doubles Down on Boycotting Grammys After New Rule Announcement

After the Grammys announced their 2021 Nominations and The Weeknd was completely left out despite having one of the biggest songs of the year with "Blinding Lights" - Abel came forward and said that he wold no longer submit his music to be nominated again!

Well months later The Grammys announced they're making a new rule change. The Recording Academy has voted to remove its controversial nominations review committees.

So you would think that Abel would be happy about this change. Well he's standing firm on his statement and STILL won't submit his music in the future.

In an interview with Variety he said “I think the industry & public alike need to see the transparent system truly at play for the win to be celebrated, but it’s an important start,”

“I remain uninterested in being a part of the Grammys, especially with their own admission of corruption for all these decades. I will not be submitting in the future.”
