Salon Gets Busted for Stealing $13 Million from Covid Relief Program!

Stories like this make me so upset because I know there are real people out there that REALLY need this relief money.

Two Salon owners in NY filed several applications for the Paycheck Protection Program. Victoria Ho and Dat Ho were busted for for basically stealing $13 million.

According to reports "The owners lied that they had 34 employees and paid them $2,320,170 in wages in 2019, prosecutors allege. However, investigators found they reported a total payroll of $2,320,170 to the state and IRS for four employees, according to a criminal complaint."

Not only that, but they are also being accused of smuggling immigrants from Vietnam so that they can work in their salons and illegally pay them low wages.

They have both been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud. They face up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
