Do you think he had a chance?

A man wanted in a $35 million fraud scheme fled the FBI with a James-Bond-like underwater escape.

Authorities say Matthew Piercey drove an 'underwater scooter' better known as a "sea scooter" into the freezing-cold waters of Lake Shasta in Northern California.

Sea Scooters were used in the 1965 James Bond movie Thunderball.

Unfortunately for Piercey, the FBI agents waited for him to surface about 25 minutes later, then made his arrest.

Piercey faces up to 20 years for an alleged Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors out of $35 million.
