California is reopening the first amusement park since the shutdowns began in March. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk will reopen this weekend, Saturday, November 7.

Since Santa Cruz county moved into the orange tier 3 level, they were given the "okay" to reopen.

On the Boardwalk website, they wrote about the announcement:

"Enjoy a selection of outdoor arcade games, as well as limited food and shopping options. Boardwalk Bowl is now open. A limited selection of Boardwalk rides and mini golf will open on Sat., Nov. 7. State of California guidelines limit ride purchases to Santa Cruz County residents only and require advanced reservations. Indoor arcades remain closed due to COVID‑19 restrictions."
