Imagine being a tennis instructor preparing for your first lesson with a 3-year-old student -- and then finding out the student's mother is one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

That's what happened to one unfortunate instructor on Thursday when tennis sensation Serena Williams showed up with her daughter Olympia. "I signed Olympia up for tennis lessons," Williams wrote on Instagram. "And don't even start with me because I'm not giving her tennis lessons. I signed her up for some, but the lady has no idea that it's my daughter. I'm not a pushy mom, but I know how I like techniques so I'm gonna make sure she's good and teaching them some techniques."

The lesson marked a change of heart for the 39-year-old athlete, who in 2018 toldVogueshe was very much against Olympia following in her footsteps. "I would hate her to have to deal with comparisons or expectations," she said at the time. "It’s so much work, and I’ve given up so much."
