Judge Dismisses 3rd-degree Murder Charge Against Derek Chauvin.

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin Arrested For George Floyd Death

Well, I didn't see this coming, but a judge has just dismissed the third-degree murder charge against a former police officer Derek Chauvin who was involved in the death of George Floyd.

According to reports the state has five days to appeal. The other charges he's face still stand, "unintentional second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter"

If convicted for the second degree murder charge, Derek can face up to 15 years in prison, if convicted for the second degree manslaughter charges he can face four years in prison.

Apparently they also tried to get the charges against the other cops dismissed but that was denied.

All four of the officers were fired.
