Brace yourself, this is a sad story yet we feel like it should be told.
According to ABC 7 Los Angeles, earlier this week, Marlen Benitez, a 28-year-old mother of four was working selling fruit at the Walmart on Highland Avenue in San Bernardino when a dark Chevy Tahoe slammed through her fruit cart. Leaving Benitez unconscious, she was rushed to the nearest hospital and is now in coma.
Shortly after, authorities arrested Robert Lee Spargo of Fontana who was driving the dark Chevy Tahoe.
Benitez brother-in-law, Alejandro Isabel spoke with ABC 7 and says what happened to his sister-in-law can't be an accident because it truly was a crime.
Benitez family is asking for the public's help and has set up a GoFundMe account to help with medical expenses.
