It's safe to say that Lil Wayne and Missy Elliott are both responsible for giving us hits in the 2000's. With their catchy flow, rhymes and style, they set the bar high.

In a recent conversation for DJ Khaled's new show "The First One," Weezy F. Baby talked about his music inspirations and he name dropped Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot.

Khaled asked Wayne who inspired him the most during the creation of “Block Burner” and “Block Is Hot.” “Missy Elliott,” he says. “That was my favorite rapper.”

“That would be why I was making so many sounds,” he adds. “Missy was into the who brrrrr the whole heeheeheeHA. And so when Mannie Fresh would get you in the studio, he gon’ remind you ‘hey, you need to throw that ha ha in there.’ I was like ‘man, he want me to do a sound for every damn line!’ And so the ‘Block Burner’ song was my best favorite song because my favorite artist was Missy Elliott.”

Missy then took to Twitter to also share a few words about Wayne. She wrote on Twitter:

"Lil Wayne I am so GRATEFUL. You always showing LOVE & mentioning me as your inspiration. You also have INSPIRED so many artists."
