'Move to Canada' Searches Spike After Presidential Debate

Tuesday's presidential debate did spur action among a host of Americans; although, an unintended one.

Google searches for 'move to Canada' and “how to apply for Canadian citizenship” spiked after the messy presidential debate last night.

According to Boston.com residents of Massachusetts, Washington, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio were particularly interested in the topic.

The spike in interest in moving to Canada is not new. During the 2016 election the Canadian immigration site crashed because of an influx of traffic.

With two more debates scheduled, will more explore the option?
