The Emmy awards held a series of ceremonies throughout the week leading up to the Sunday night (September 20).
Dave Chappelle's Netflix comedy special "Sticks &Stones" picked up three awards Saturday night! From Outstanding Variety Special to Outstanding Writing-Variety Special, and Outstanding Directing.
The directing award went to the legendary Stan Lathan. Whose resume is endless!
During the virtual ceremony, Dave Chappelle's pre-recorded acceptance speech played:
"Boy, this comes as a complete surprise. I mean, I read all the reviews, and they said so many terrible things. That they were embarrassed for me. That I lost my way and wasn't even worth watching. I hope all you critics learn from this. This is a teachable moment. Shut the f**k up forever."
