I really love Janelle Monáe. She's talented, beautiful and I always feel so calm whenever I see an interview from her! Plus the one time I met her, she was SO NICE!!
So the other night she did an interview with Stephen Colbert and she talked about her friendship with Chadwick Boseman! She reflected on time when they were filming in Atlanta and she hosted a dinner for him and their mutual friend Lupita Nyong'o.
“We ate, we listened to music,” she recalled. “I just remember Chadwick that night being so present. We were not talking about work; we were not talking about the past; we were just right there. He was playing drums. We were dancing.”
She also remembered their last dance, which happened at an Oscars After Party!
“He tapped me on my shoulder — I’ll never forget it — he tapped me and he said, ‘Let’s have this dance,’”
“And we danced for a good three, four minutes, smiling.”
She added, “I just remember that moment and I will always hold that dear to me and I will always try to live in the present because I saw him living in the present.”
Wow!! That is so sweet!!!
