Denzel Washington Honors 'Brilliant' Chadwick Boseman

In college, Chadwick Boseman and many of his classmates were given the opportunity to attend an acting program at England's Oxford University.

The program was sponsored by actress Phylicia Rashad and actor Denzel Washington.

Chadwick always shared with the public the role Denzel played in his life's achievements.

While honoring Denzel for the "American Film Institute's Lifetime Achievement Award," Chadwick said, there is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington.

Denzel Washington quietly and privately released a statement after the death of Chadwick Boseman; "he was a gentle soul and brilliant artist who will stay with us for eternity through his iconic performances over his short yet illustrious career. God bless Chadwick Boseman."

Denzel produced one of Chadwick's last films before his death, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.
