Man Who Gave Cancer Survivor in Walmart 'COVID Hug' Wanted By Police

Springfield, Massachusetts police are looking for a man who allegedly gave a Walmart shopper a "COVID-19 hug" on Aug. 15.

The victim said a man approached him while inside Walmart, took an item from his hand, and gave him a hug.

The suspect laughed and told the victim, who is a cancer survivor, "Just giving you a COVID hug. You now have COVID", before walking away.

Cops say the suspect, who they have on surveillance video, gave "COVID hugs" to multiple shoppers that day.
