Ceelo Green has apologized for the comments he made condemning women in a recent interview.
Green took to Instagram to share a message specifically to Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, and Nicki Minaj.
"There seems to be a misunderstanding with a quote taken from an interview I did a few days ago while promoting my new project. Firstly, I'm an advocate of artistic freedom and expression as well as a fan of Nicki, Cardi & Meagan," (sic) said Ceelo.
"I know most of them personally and consider Cardi & Offset family. Therefore, I would never disrespect them all as powerful, beautiful, and influential women ... and professionals."
Ceelo then sent a heartfelt apology to the women and said a snippet of the comment he made during the interview was being used as a salacious headline.
Both Megan and Cardi took to social media to call out men and conservatives who have criticized their song, "WAP."
