Statue of BLM Protester Goes Up Where Slave Trader Statue Once Was!!

There was once a statue in England of a Slave Trader named Edward Colston it was taken down June 7th and thrown into the river! It now been taken down and replaced with a statue of Jen Reid!

The statue, created by British sculptor Marc Quinn, is based off of a photograph of Jen in the same position.

Jen aid “My immediate thoughts were for the enslaved people who died at the hands of Colston and to give them power. I wanted to give George Floyd power, I wanted to give power to Black people like me who have suffered injustices and inequality. A surge of power out to them all.”

The creator of the statue said in a statement “It is such a powerful image, of a moment I felt had to be materialized, forever,” Quinn said in a statement.

I Love It!
