Obviously we'd all LOVE for schools to reopen but we want it to happen if it's safe! And with Covid-19 numbers raising and California shutting down again, it doesn't seem like it might be the best decision!
Orange County Board of Education voted 4 to 1 to approve recommendations for reopening schools in the fall! They also will not make masks mandatory for students!
A group of parents and teachers gathered outside of the Monday evening meeting protesting the idea of children returning to school without safety precautions.
It was also stated that parents “are in the best position to determine the education environment that best suits their children rather than government officials.”
Experts have advised temperature checks and that “good hygiene with frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer,”
