Wale dropped the surprise EP, “The Imperfect Storm” which comes on the heels of countrywide protests in the wake of George Floyd’s murder by a Minneapolis police officer. “I try and watch the news, but I’m lashing out before crying out / My daughter seen a murder on cellular phone,” Wale raps on JUNE 5th / QueenZnGodZ, “We ain’t never been perfect, but this family ours / Yo America, tuck your shirt in, your devil is showing.” Wale says he recorded the 6-track EP, “with a revolutionary spark and his ancestor’s spirit.” The cover art for the EP was designed by Kenny Huyng and features an LAPD police car in flames.
