Coronavirus Symptoms May Include Skin Rashes

The European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology published a research letter detailing how COVID-19 may affect the skin.

Researchers at Lecco Hospital in Italy says that more than 20% of their patients developed skin issues at the same time as other symptoms of the virus occurred.

Those patients were found to have blisters, hives, rashes, and lesions on the feet and the torso.

Some patients had ‘COVID toes’, which resembles frostbite-like symptoms on the feet, mainly found in children and young people.

More testing is needed to determine if skin issues are a sign of the active phase of the disease or if it could be a sign of impending death.

To date, skin conditions have not been added to the growing list of coronavirus symptoms.

Do you anybody who survived COVID-19 that also dealt with skin issues from the virus?
