According to Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian the dean of Freidman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, said that "poor diet" is the leading cause of poor heath in the United States and is responsible for over half a million deaths each year! Less than 1 in 5 Americans aren’t healthy.

Over time poor eating can lead to issues like cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high-blood pressure and obesity-related cancers!

Sadly the Corona Virus Suppresses the immune system and increase the risk of infections, pneumonia and cancers. They’re all associated with low-grade, body-wide inflammation, Dr. Mozaffarian explained, “and Covid kills by causing an overwhelming inflammatory response that disables the body’s ability to fight off pathogens.”

So as always, it's important to watch what you eat and try and eat as healthy as you can, whenever you can.
