Will sports return to our lives this year?
According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, who’s part of the White House Coronavirus task force, saysit’s very possible that sports will return this year, but some changes will need to be made.
During an interview on snapchat, Dr. Fauci said the only way that sports could return this year is if the teams played against each other in empty stadiums. No fans.
He said, "Nobody comes to the stadium. Put them in big hotels, wherever you want to play. Keep them very well surveilled ... have them tested like every week and make sure they don’t wind up infecting each other or their family and just let them play the season out.”
I know it would suck to not be able to go to the games, cheer your team on, or hate on the other team… but I feel like this might be another exciting way for people to connect. Idk. This is giving me hope that things are going in the right direction.
